painted mural of 2 cottages with flowers next to pond with rolling hills

12 x 20 foot mural titled “Everyone Needs a Place to Call Home”

The mural was painted by local artists Nancy Phelps and Sue Treuhaft. It depicts the essence of “home” in our lives amidst Lompoc’s colorful flowers, trees and hills. The mural is located at the Housing Authority’s administrative headquarters in Lompoc on West Ocean Avenue.

HASBARCO Commissioner Mary Lou Miller and her husband Tom Miller generously constructed and donated the two birdhouses

The two birdhouses, which were once placed at each side of the mural, have been relocated to the interior of area Housing Authority offices.
